Food here in Mongkok has been a chore so far. It's taken a bit of courage to venture into some of these shops and "pony up to the bar", eating whatever the server wants to give you. We are learning what we like in Cantonese so we can just say that, (fried duck brains covered with minced cabbage), and be served. Most local places don't have any English menus or English speakers. Ahh the miracle of globalization.
Yesterday we woke up and went immediately to McDonalds. Why? Because I knew what to expect!
Never thought I would crave food simply based on expectations. Interesting.

And, yes, McDonald's tastes the same as it does in the US.
