I wondered today if city folk know what it's like to run through a pasture... Its not as easy as it seems and nor is their side of the fence, walking through city crowds. I think I'm starting to get a hang of it.
A few things I've learned: Always be a step ahead of people. Meaning, your pace should be faster and more commanding than those around you. People will be more inclined to get out of your way and you'll be less likely to run into anyone.
If you lock eyes with an on comer, look away, quickly. If you keep staring trying to figure out where they are going, as to avoid a collision, you will keep juking each other till it gets awkward. Simply look at the ground and step blindly, they will react oppositely.
Its strange to think how close everyone can be and still be comfortable. Well maybe not that, but they exist like that everyday. I've gotten used to touching knees, arms, etc with people, but I certainly long for 3ft of personal space every instance.
